Neurotoxic anti-lice solutions : too many shortcomings
Until the 2010s, most anti-lice products on the market were formulated with neurotoxic substances. While they were generally effective, they also raised significant problems:
– Lice developed resistance to these substances, causing manufacturers to increase concentrations, compromising the products’ safety.

The early 2010s witnessed the development of a new generation of anti-lice shampoos, formulated with silicone.
Lice are killed by suffocation, and they therefore cannot develop any resistance.
However, silicone remains a petrochemical derivative whose impact on the environment is catastrophic. Moreover, these products are extremely hard to rinse, causing oily hair or scalp irritation.
